Hot Wheels 1992 Ford Mustang

A good little model from the Hot Wheels 2011 Racing Series.

I have to hand it to the HW Team at Mattel - they do do a good selection of Americana.

As with most of the models in the HW, I am very tempted to add some additional detailing to the headlights and rear end....

Hot Wheels 1971 Hemi Cuda

Another addition to the Americana stable of 1/64.

However, I can't for the life of me remember if this has already been created before in a previous year.

This is the one problem I have with HW castings - for example, the Ford Mustang. They reproduce this in Shelby, SuperSnake, GT500, Boss302....I mean the list just goes on -

So I really can't tell if I have bought this model under a previous guise. I think the only way I could really know for sure is if I checked all the HW's that I bought over the last few years.

Bugger, have forgotten about the casting - well, it sits well within the HW road garage. I am glad that Matchbox have not gone down this route and produce this kind of vehicle (Americana) - HW sticking with what they do best.

Hot Wheels 2012 Camaro ZL1

I hope that Mattel don't do this one to death - like the Ford Mustang which they have every conceivable version and call it a new casting -

I do like the attention to detail on the bonnet with the decals depicting the ZL1 model - and yet again this one would do well with rear detailing for the lights. I am not sure how much it costs or what is involved but it would really give added value to the model as a collectable and/or play toy.
