Aston's new Vanquish

The old Vanquish looked rather brutal - if anything a little fat an heavy, but it still shifted backside when push came to shove, and sod it, James Bond had one (KE02 EWW)

Aston Martin have now launched the new Vanquish, which just seems to be an evolution of the DBS. I don't know about others, but does the body of what is essentially a DB7 seem a little tired now? It just might have been worked and re-worked to death - The Rapide is just a 4-door DB9, and all of them look very much the same - OK, the Vantage is a little shorter but still shares the same DNA.

But then again, if it ain't broke, don't fix? I wonder what future DB designs will look like over the next few years.....

£415k for an E-type replica?

I know that things are expensive here in CH - but those mental Swiss have backed this car based on the E-Type - and it is made in Coventry.

Is it really worth £415k??? I am sure that I would be happy with a DBS, M5 and still have change for the odd Abarth 500.....

007 + Aston = Skyfall

Well, Skyfall - the new 007 Movie is due for release later on this year.

And I for one am glad to see that he is still driving an Aston Martin - albeit BMT 216 A, the original DB5 first seen in Goldfinger.

I am interested to see if this is actually going to be the actual car used as Bond's transport in the film OR if he is going to be given a V12,

a smaller V8....

Or my current favourite, the DBS - with these wheels and not the hideous Carbon Edition alloys......
