Nissan Elgrand - rival for the Euro Family carriers??

I love the sheer Japanese-ness of these vehicles. This is my first proper view of the new Elgrand and for my money gives the VW Caravelle/Sharan a good run in terms of space and size.

This is a Japanese only model, but exports are sent over to Asia as there is demand for it, along with the Toyota Vellfire and Alphard.

The design is a lot smoother and shapely than usual but still retains the classic Japanese boxiness of people carriers. I doubt that this model will be seen in Europe - Renault own a majority stake in Nissan so a duplication of model here, but you can see some of the Escape influence in the design.
